Opening scene -Our 7th Generation-

It all begins with an idea.

FADE IN:

THE NATURE WITHIN.

CUT TO:

THE TRUTH OF HER BEING

EXT. NORTHERN, MN. - DUSK

Flying over the country side, river appears with flowing veins cast throughout. Matching transition to veins in the human body. Following the flow of the veins of the human body to the heart. Matching transition to the earth. From the earth we zoom into a tree in a field. Time lapsing the growth of the tree from a seedling to root system, to branches. Matching back to the river from root system of the tree. Matching back to the blood veins, following the flow we end back at the heart. This time it’s beating fast.

FADE TO:

INT. LIVING ROOM - DUSK

TRANSITION TO BLACK AND WHITE.

Zooming out to reveal the heart of a little girl in the corner of a room.

Reveling black smoke whirling around the room, mom and dad fighting on the floor, room is very dischuffed, dad is on top of mom beating her.

Sage (9) gets up, run’s to the kitchen and grab’s a cast iron frying pan.

The background is reveling her father holding her mother down, repeatedly hitting her. Sage breaks the cast iron frying pan over her father head from repeated blows. She gets hit across the room from her father. He stops, gets up, move’s to the couch and sits down looking off into nowhere. One little bead of blood comes from the side of his mouth. Mom, beat up, crawls over to him, yelling at Sage.

MOM (37)

What have you done?

Sage, immediately gets up and runs for the door.

CUT TO:

EXT. OVERHEAD BACK YARD - DUSK

Sage runs out the decrepit back porch. Jumping from a broken staircase. A scroungy mut appears from under the porch joining the excitement of her running away.

The yard is scattered with small drafts of snow and misc. junk strewn about. Sage is crying and obviously been beat. Cloths resembling those of hand-me-downs that are torn and a little to large for her small frame.

Dog in tow, she heads towards the darkness of the forest. Mut barking all the way.

FADE TO:

Running though the woods as fast as those little legs can take her, she stops to catch her breath. Looking back at the house a small memory hits, her face drops. One tear swells and falls from her eye. In that tear we see a brief memory of what just happen. Dad hitting mom and mom yelling at Sage.

FADE TO:

Head quickly turns and she runs deeper into the forest. It gets darker and darker the further she runs.

Sun is setting over the horizon, showing the depth of the forest. Small rays of light show through the snow as it begins to fall. Large flakes cover the tracks behind her.

FADE TO:

She begins to slow, hard breath and fear settle in.

Dropping to her knees. Dog comes up to console what is left of this poor little child.

One word comes from her mouth as she is knelt on the ground snow falling all around her, lifting her head ever so slightly.

CUT TO:

SAGE

Please!

Looking up, her eyes catch one single snow flake as it falls from the sky. Watching it intently (slowly transition to color) the flake hits a small ray of light coming from the sun only to let out one little colorful twinkle. (slowly fade back to black and white) Following the path of that flake, her head drops as the flake hits the ground.

She looks up for a moment only to realize she has no idea of where she is, fear sets in, she begins to cry. Looking up to the trees that surround her she yells as her face drops.

SAGE

Help, please help me!

FADE OUT:

It all begins with an idea.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
